As Member Secretary of the National Sports Council Nepal, I spearheaded a remarkable journey towards the realization of the 9th National Games, an endeavor marked by unprecedented challenges and extraordinary achievements. Despite facing daunting obstacles stemming from financial constraints and legal complexities, my leadership, resolve, and strategic vision enabled us to orchestrate a spectacular event within a remarkably short timeframe of approximately seven months.

The 9th National Games stands as a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation, characterized by the introduction of nine groundbreaking initiatives that reshaped the landscape of sports governance in Nepal. These pioneering endeavors not only underscored our dedication to fostering inclusivity, accessibility, and transparency but also propelled the National Games to new heights of success and acclaim.

Highlighted among these innovations were:

1. Running Trophy: For the first time in the history of the National Games, we introduced a symbolic Running Trophy adorned with the auspicious Kalash, serving as a tangible embodiment of victory and collective aspirations.
2. Record-Breaking Number of Sports: The 9th National Games witnessed the inclusion of the maximum number of sports in its history, offering a diverse and expansive platform for athletes to showcase their talents and compete at the highest level.
3. Dedicated Website: We launched a dedicated website for the 9th National Games, providing stakeholders with a centralized hub for accessing vital data, updates, and information pertaining to the event, thus fostering transparency and engagement.
4. Mobile Application: Complementing the website, we developed a user-friendly mobile application that facilitated seamless access to event schedules, live updates, and interactive features, enhancing the overall spectator experience and engagement.
5. Online Player Registration: As part of our commitment to digital revolutionization, we implemented online player registration for the first time, streamlining administrative processes and ensuring efficiency and accuracy in participant management.
6. Multi-District Sporting Events: Breaking previous records, sports events were organized across eight different districts, showcasing the diverse cultural and geographical landscape of Nepal and promoting grassroots participation and inclusivity.
7. Gender Quotas: In a significant stride towards gender equality, we introduced dedicated quotas for male and female players, fostering equitable opportunities and representation within the National Games framework.
8. Post-Provincial System Debut: The 9th National Games marked the first iteration since the establishment of Nepal’s provincial system, symbolizing a new chapter in the nation’s sporting journey and fostering collaboration and cohesion among diverse regional entities.
9. Provincial Trophy Tour: To celebrate the spirit of unity and solidarity, we organized a trophy tour across all provinces, symbolizing the National Games’ reach and significance as a unifying force for the entire nation.

Under my leadership, these transformative initiatives culminated in the resounding success of the 9th National Games, garnering widespread acclaim and admiration both domestically and internationally.
